What remanufacturing is

How it differs from a retrofit

Retrofit upgrades the internals of a fixture in place. Remanufacturing takes it apart completely and rebuilds it to as-new condition — inside and out.

Why remanufacture

Choose remanufacturing for high-value, bespoke or architectural fixtures — or strict circular-economy standards — that need cosmetic restoration as well as updated technology and full whole-product certification.

Scope

The fixture is fully disassembled, cleaned, stripped, repaired, repainted or re-powder-coated, and rebuilt with brand-new internal LED technology — back to a “like-new” state.

Warranty & compliance

Re-engineered in-factory and tested against modern CE/UKCA electrical safety standards, with a brand-new 5-year holistic luminaire warranty — as if it were bought new.

Which fittings qualify

All Bumblebee lighting products can be remanufactured. Other manufacturers’ luminaires are welcome, subject to a quick survey.

The process

Collection → assessment → remanufacture → redeployment

Every route — Bumblebee buyback or third-party survey — follows the same disciplined path from here.

Collection

We quote based on type, quantity, condition and location, then collect or courier the luminaires.

Assessment

Goods are checked on arrival and stripped back to component level for cleaning and grading.

Remanufacture

Metal parts are stripped of paint and reused; electricals go to WEEE recycling; new LEDs and drivers are fitted.

Redeployment

Remanufactured units are resold by Archer Lighting — or, under the buyback scheme, you’re paid within 30 days.
